There is no recipe, no vendor list, no dish and no commission tied to it anywhere in writing. The May 2026 development update gives the size of the ingredient pool — "over 240 ingredients" — and names none of them individually.
There is no published use for this item. A page that says it preserves fish, cools a dish, or completes a specific quest is not reporting the game. It is filling a gap with plausible cyberpunk fiction. If a quest needs it, the quest text will say so — the game names its objectives even when it never explains the mechanic.

Why the Industrial District is findable at all
No official map exists, but the district is not hidden. It has a Visit achievement held by 28.9% of owners, read 4 October 2026 — one of the earlier districts in the unlock curve, roughly where you would expect it a few hours in.
Two official descriptions help you get there. The March 2026 Q&A confirms that "As you progress through the story, you'll also unlock new locations to explore." The November 2025 community blog describes the neighbouring Seaside Boardwalk and the route between them: "A fast train connects the industrial district to its distinctive, peaceful pier, from where you can enjoy the ocean view, head out to sea, or leave it behind as you climb its weathered stairs into the heart of the neighborhood."

Why the vendor system makes this hard to look up
The deeper reason nobody can publish a shopping list is that 505 has never named a vendor or priced anything. Our ingredients and vendors guide covers the gap in full: the only official statement is that vendors exist "across the different districts", and the FAQ does not contain the word vendor at all.
The one pricing rule that does exist is relational, not item-based: "Business relationships can also impact your experience economically and open up new opportunities. For example, buying more often from certain vendors might get you better prices." No percentage, no vendor, no threshold — so you cannot compute what liquid nitrogen costs at any point.
Liquid nitrogen is therefore not a special case. It is one of several hundred purchasable goods in a game with no published index, which is why the answer that circulates is a forum reply rather than a wiki table.
What it is not
Worth ruling out the obvious misreadings, since search results mix this game with others:
- It is not a fish. The 24 named catches are on our fishing guide; liquid nitrogen is not one of them.
- It is not a greenhouse crop. The crop ladder is Harvester, Farmer, Serial Farmer, Farming Specialist — nothing chemical.
