505 confirms one specific ending and many possible paths but never published how many exist. What the achievement list reveals about story flags.
Nivalis Nights Endings: What Is Confirmed vs Unknown
505 Games has never published how many endings Nivalis Nights has, and that is still true after reading every official source. What the developer has on record is a shape, not a number: a defined story with a specific ending they want players to reach, reached along many different paths. The one public signal is the achievement list: eleven story achievements sit at the bottom of it. Their names, not their count, tell you how the story is built.
What 505 has actually said about the ending
From the COMMUNITY Q&A of 31 March 2026, answering "Is there a main story or end goal, or is the game more open-ended like a life sim?":
It has a defined story it wants to tell, and a specific ending we want players to reach. Some gameplay aspects can keep going over time, but at its core this is a story with a beginning and an end, even if there are many different paths you can take along the way.
The same post, on side quests:
So your path to reaching the end of the main story (or maybe we should say main stories), can be quite different from someone else's.
And on relationships:
While we do want the main stories to reach specific endings, your relationships with NPCs can definitely influence how you get there, as well as the outcomes of side quests.
The official FAQ thread, last edited on launch day, is blunter:
While the main storyline follows a core narrative arc, players have opportunities to make choices that influence their experience, shape relationships, and uncover different aspects of life in Nivalis Nights.
Three posts, one shape: the destination is designed, the route is not. What is missing everywhere is a figure, and we will not supply one.
The developer wrote "a specific ending" in one sentence and "specific endings" in another. Neither is a number, and across all 34 posts in the news feed, back to the 2021 announcement, the March 2026 Q&A is the only one that uses the word.

The one public signal: eleven story achievements
Steam's global stats page, read at 15:17 UTC on 30 September 2026:
| Story achievement | Official description | Share of players |
|---|---|---|
| The Network | none published | 0.3% |
| Fauxter's Band | none published | 0.2% |
| Find Love | none published | 0.1% |
| Where is Ava? | none published | 0.1% |
| Find Salma's Brother | none published | 0.1% |
| Thaddeus Mystery | none published | 0.1% |
| Mask for Iann | none published | 0.1% |
| The Lost Captain | none published | 0.1% |
| Lost Child | none published | 0.1% |
| Scorpion | none published | 0.1% |
| Aseptic | Solve the Aseptic case! | 0.1% |
Ten of the eleven carry no description at all. Aseptic is the only one that ships with wording, and all four words of it are "Solve the Aseptic case!".

The rates are the real story. Steam floors percentages at one decimal place, so 0.1% means at or below 0.1%. All eleven are on that floor or a rounding step away; the highest is The Network at 0.3%. For scale, 49 of the game's 120 achievements sit at 0.1%, while Seen a Ghost, reached on an ordinary run, is at 0.8%. The full 120-row table has every rate.
What that proves, and what it does not:
- The story layer is gated behind long play. Two days in, almost nobody has touched it.
- It does not prove how many endings exist. An achievement marks a milestone, not a destination, and one playthrough can unlock several. Eleven is an achievement count, not a story count, and Steam does not say whether these are secret.
What the names reveal about how the story is built
With no descriptions to work from, the names are structural data. Five name identifiable people, or a relationship to you: Ava, Salma's brother, Thaddeus, Iann, Fauxter. Three read as problems rather than characters: Aseptic, the Lost Child, Scorpion. The Lost Captain could be either, The Network is a system, and Find Love names nobody. The campaign is built around people and named problems, not one escalating threat.
The store page is the only place 505 describes the plot itself: "In a district pushed to the brink by CorpSec crackdowns and a mysterious serial killer". Aseptic is the one achievement that calls itself a case, and a serial killer the one threat the store names. The game never says they share a thread, so we are not joining the dots. Our characters page covers everyone the game names itself; our romance page covers what Find Love confirms.
None of the eleven is reachable by grinding the business loop. The route runs through the quest system.

Why the ending counts other sites print are not quotable
- The official news feed. Thirty-four posts, from the 2021 announcement to launch day. The March 2026 Q&A is the only one that discusses endings at all.
- The FAQ thread. One line about the story. No figure, no chapter count, no playtime, no ending list.
- The store and 505 release pages. Plot premise, features, requirements. No story structure.
Sites that print a number are not traceable to any of those: no developer statement, dated interview or patch note puts a figure on it. The most promising lead is a Reddit AMA by the lead writer, but we could not open that thread, so nothing from it appears here.
The bar is simple: the number must come from a sentence a developer or publisher wrote, with a link. Aggregator wikis, SEO template sites and video roundups copying each other are not sources. Without the sentence, the number is decoration.

What would change this page
This is a tracking page. These would let us rewrite it:
- An official post, patch note or roadmap item that states how many endings exist, or names them.
- A Steam achievement description changing from empty to wording about a conclusion, as Aseptic's does.
- An update to the FAQ thread, last edited on launch day, the first place 505 would correct a rumour.
- A dated AMA answer from the lead writer, or post-launch story content. The developer's pinned Read First / Known Issues thread already lists quests under active work — "Quests: fixing minor dialogue issues in a small number of quests" — and says "Patches to improve things further are already in the works". Neither is a patch note.

As of 15:17 UTC on 30 September 2026 the newest official feed posts are launch-day posts, and none of the 34 carries a patch note or hotfix announcement. Nobody outside the studio has described what happens at the end; any page that says otherwise is reading from a fan wiki.
FAQ
How many endings does Nivalis Nights have? Never published. No official source we can reach puts a figure on the record; anyone quoting you a number is quoting a fan wiki.
Does the ending change with your choices? Officially, the main storyline follows a core narrative arc, players get opportunities to make choices, and relationships influence how you reach the ending. Whether the ending itself varies, 505 has not said.
Are any Nivalis Nights endings missable? Unknown. No achievement description flags a deadline, an expiry or an ordering requirement, and no official source addresses missability. With ten of the eleven carrying no description, there is nothing to check against.
Does romance affect the ending? The March 2026 Q&A says relationships with NPCs influence how you reach the main endings and the outcomes of side quests. The FAQ is deliberately vague: "We really don't want to spoil too much here." Find Love is on the unlock floor. See our romance page.
How long does it take to reach the ending? No official figure exists. 505 has never given a playtime or chapter count, and eleven story achievements at or below 0.3% point to a long tail. Treat any hour count as one person's estimate. Just starting? Our first-hour guide covers the part that comes first.
